For fifteen years, Neil Sharp’s family carved their way down the slopes of Mount Snow, embracing the crisp Vermont winters. He wasn’t one of those who grew up shredding—his snowboarding journey began later in life at forty-five years old. But like any great passion, once it took hold, it became part of who he was.

After countless days on the mountain, Neil noticed something missing in the après-ski scene—a place that felt like home, where groups could gather, share stories over good food, and kick back after a day of adventure. That feeling stuck with him, and when he discovered that the One More Time/Dover Forge restaurant was available in early 2022, the idea took shape.

Partnering with his longtime business partner Mike, Neil struck a deal with Rich and Laurie Caplan. The next three months were a whirlwind of construction, planning, and pouring heart and soul into the space. Finally, on October 25, 2022, American Flatbread in West Dover opened its doors.

Inspired by the original Vermont-born concept from Waitsfield, American Flatbread in West Dover became more than just a restaurant—it became a destination. A gathering spot for après-ski, post-golf hangouts, mountain bikers celebrating the trails, and hikers resting after their treks.

With a menu focused on local and organic flatbread pizzas, crisp salads, homemade desserts, craft beer, and cocktails, the goal was simple: create a warm, welcoming space where large parties could easily come together, enjoy their afternoon or evening, and leave with new friends and great memories.

American Flatbread in West Dover is more than a restaurant—it’s a reflection of the mountains, the community, and the joy of sharing good food in good company.
